Automatically opens and closes the roof vent/window when temperature changes In the Greenhouse. The opener has a metal cylinder containing a mineral which expands when heated. This pushes a piston that opens the vent. As the temperature cools, the mineral shrinks and a spring closes the vent and resets the piston. The opening and closing of the vent is gradual allowing just the right amount of air flow for cooling.

Unfortunately I was misled by the product summary of this item. I understood I was buying the whole window with automatic opener as one kit. Sadly it is only the piston opener without the window which I will need to purchase separately. This is not clear on your product description.

Automatic vent openers are the best way to regulate the temperature of your greenhouse when you are not there to open and shut doors and windows. The weather can change so much during the day causing the temperature inside to overheat or cool too much. With automatic vent openers the temperature stays more even -much better for the plants. I love the convenience and the results so much I am ordering more. Also it means you can leave the door shut to keep out unwanted pets and pests.
