While imported sheds are affordable, many are not designed to withstand New Zealand's harsh sunlight, wind, rain and snow. Locally made sheds are often stronger but more expensive and can be difficult to assemble without professional installation. Designed with strength and quality in mind, our sheds use top quality colorsteel. All of our sheds are fitted with a line of bracings around the height of the wall. For large sheds, there is arch support extending all the way to the ground.

2m Tall Walls
Steelmates garden shed has a minimum height of 2 meters for wall and door, which is the lowest height of the whole garden shed. There is robust headroom and allows you to move freely inside the garden shed.

Steel Thickness
Most garden sheds use 0.22–0.25mm steel, while Steelmates uses a thicker 0.32mm steel — around 1.4× thicker than average. This added thickness delivers superior strength, rust resistance, and long-lasting durability in all weather conditions.
