Thank you for purchasing a Steelmates shed. We offer a 8 Year warranty for our Steelmates range sheds, 3 Year warranty for the Bike Shed Series. We warrant that our Steelmates range will not fail due to perforation caused by rusting through of material. We will replace any part found to be perforated by rust under normal use and service within that period. For your warranty to be in effect, the building must be maintained as directed in the Owner’s Manual.

However, the warranty that we offer will be overridden by the warranty offered by the original manufacturer of the steel. “The Steelmates range is not covered by warranty within 2km of the sea,”

The conditions listed below apply:

• a) The warranty shall not cover any defect or damage which is caused or partly caused by or arise
  through:
  - Failure on the part of the customer to properly maintain any goods; or
  - Failure on the part of the customer to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by
  the supplier; or
  - Any use of any goods otherwise than for any application specified on a quote or order
  form; or
  - The continued use of any goods after any defect becomes apparent or would have
  become apparent to a reasonably prudent operator or user; or
  - The storage of caustic materials (including but not limited to acids, fertilizers or
  hazardous chemicals); or
  - Fair wear and tear, any accident or act of God. (Including weather)
  
• b) The warranty shall cease and the supplier shall thereafter in no circumstances be liable under
  the terms of the warranty if the workmanship is repaired, altered or overhauled.
  
• c) In respect of all claims the supplier shall not be liable to compensate the Customer for any delay
  in either replacing or remedying the workmanship or in properly assessing the Customer’s claim.
  
• d) Your shed must be raised above ground level (of natural earth substrate) by at least 70mm, and with 8
