The door can be installed on either short side of the shed, allowing the roof slope to face either direction to better suit your installation requirements.

While imported sheds are often more affordable, many are not designed to withstand New Zealand's harsh sunlight, wind, rain and snow. Locally made sheds are typically stronger but more expensive and can be difficult to assemble without professional assistance.

- 0.32mm steel sheets for improved durability.
- Side walls can be assembled indoors before being moved into position, leaving only the roof panels to be installed on site.
- Screws are used to fasten the wall panels for faster installation, while rivets reinforce the frame and door for additional strength.
- Door can be installed on either short side, allowing the roof slope to face either direction.
- Floor is not included. A floor plan is available.

Please note:
- Floor is not included, although a floor plan is available.
- When preparing the floor, leave a 30mm gap around the perimeter. The shed sits on top of the rebate to help prevent rainwater from entering.
- This shed is not suitable for coastal environments.
- The warranty is not valid if the shed is installed within 2km of a body of salt water.

Steelmates garden shed has a minimum height of 2 meters for wall and door, which is the lowest height of the whole garden shed. There is robust headroom and allows you to move freely inside the garden shed.

I’ve built a few flatpack sheds in my time and have come close to losing a finger or two in the process! 😂 But these sheds have been fantastic to build!
A lot of my build had U-clips long brackets that fit over the ends of the sheets, reducing the number of sharp exposed edges, while the side edges are folded back for extra safety already. The corners also have clips that pull everything together, with pre-drilled holes making assembly much easier (as long as you follow the instructions!).
Overall, these sheds are a great design and much easier to work with than some I’ve built in the past. I’ll definitely be using these guys again in the future. Highly recommend!
