Choose a Steelmates greenhouse and create a sheltered space for your vegetables, herbs and flowers.

2. We fund a native tree

For every greenhouse sold, we donate funding for one native tree through Trees That Count. Steelmates covers the donation—there is no additional contribution required from you.

3. Local planting projects bring it to life

Trees That Count connects tree funding with restoration projects in New Zealand, where local planters plant and care for native trees.

Trees That Count connects individuals and businesses with native restoration projects across New Zealand. Its network includes community groups, iwi, farmers and conservation organisations working to restore and strengthen our native landscapes.

Through this network, our donations help fund native trees for projects supported by planting expertise and ongoing care.

Which greenhouse purchases fund a native tree?

For every greenhouse sold from our Polycarbonate Greenhouse and Glasshouse collections, Steelmates funds one native tree through Trees That Count. Buy two qualifying greenhouses, and we fund two trees.

Do I need to make a separate donation?

No. Steelmates makes the donation as part of our commitment. You do not need to add a donation at checkout.

Will the tree be sent to me?

No. Your purchase helps fund a native tree for a restoration project in New Zealand.

Where will the tree be planted?

Trees That Count allocates funding to restoration projects within its New Zealand network. The planting location depends on the project receiving support.

Is the tree planted immediately after my purchase?

Planting follows the receiving project’s schedule and suitable seasonal conditions, so it may happen later than your purchase.
